How Weekly Play Works
We host Opening Night and the Week 7 Finale in person. In between, your Season Coordinator runs weekly play using the structure, scoring materials, and guidance we provide. We stay with you all season, managing registration, tracking scores, updating the leaderboard, and coordinating prizes. Set out the tables. Play. Send us the scores. We’ll take it from there.
Six weeks of league play. One celebratory Finale.
Opening Night
We’re there in person to welcome everyone, hand out Welcome Bags and Passports, walk through how the Season works, and get the first night of play underway.
Weekly League Play
Your Coordinator hosts play each week and sends us the scores. We keep the leaderboard, raffle entries, and championship standings current.
Finale Celebration (Week 7)
We come back to crown the Season Champion, hand out prizes, award the Grand Prize, and celebrate one last night around the table.
Two things every player takes home
The Welcome Bag
Handed out on Opening Night, filled with Season extras worth keeping. It’s the moment a registration turns into belonging to something.
The Mahjong Passport
A personal record of every table they sit down at. Players use it to mark milestones, achievements, and a Mahjong life that keeps growing after the Season ends.

A few things people ask
Is West Wind there every week?
We host Opening Night and the Week 7 Finale in person. The weeks in between are hosted by your Season Coordinator, using everything we provide. We stay involved all season through registration, scorekeeping, the leaderboard, and prizes.
Do participants need to know how to play?
Yes. The Season is built for players who already know the fundamentals of American Mahjong. Recent Mahjong 101 graduates are very welcome, but the Season isn’t a substitute for beginner instruction.
Who handles registration and payment?
We do. Participants register and pay through West Wind, so your organization never has to collect a dollar or chase a form.
Is Mahjong equipment included?
No. Equipment is separate from the participant fee. Use your own, or add a Season Equipment Package under its own rental agreement.
Ready to bring a West Wind Season to your organization?
